This photo competition is open to all amateur
photographers. For photographers under the age of 18,
parental or guardian permission is required. All entries must
be an original work that has never been published before.
The photographer submitting any entries must own all rights
to the photograph, including copyright.
Photos must be in colour and submitted in the form of slides, prints
(8X10 inches), or as digital files (as RAW, TIFF, JPG, PSD or EPS).
Digital images must be taken as hi-resolution images, 7.2 Megapixels or
higher, with actual sizes being no less than 300 DPI @ 8X10 inches or no
less than 2400 pixels X 3000 pixels. Limited digital enhancement is
permitted such as saturation, contrast and sharpening. Images should
accurately reflect the subject and its habitat. You may be asked to
submit the original as well without any manipulation should your image
be chosen.
Cayman Islands entries can be submitted in person at the Cayman
National head office, 200 Elgin Avenue, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands –
Attention Ana Casildo, or via the Cayman National website
www.caymannational.com/calendar. Isle of Man entries can be
submitted in person at the Cayman National head office, Cayman
National House, 4–8 Hope Street, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 1AQ, British
Isles – Attention Anita Gould-Davies, or via the Isle of Man Cayman
National website www.cnciom.com/calendar.
Each separate entry must be accompanied or uploaded with
the offical entry form.
No more than 5 entries accepted per person across each category. Each
photograph must have been taken within the relevant geographic
location (Grand Cayman, the Sister Islands of the Cayman Islands, or Isle
of Man), as indicated on the entry form.
Each photograph must have been taken after 1 July 2008.
All entries must be received by Cayman National by 3:00 pm on
31 August 2009.
No photographs will be returned.
The judges will be appointed by Cayman National, and the
judges’ decision is final. Judging criteria includes visual
impact, clarity, and be a great representation of the category.
Cayman National reserves the right not to award certain or
any of the prizes.
Prizes are as outlined above in Cayman Islands dollars and Pound
Sterling equivalents for Isle of Man entries. Winners will be notified
by 15 September 2009.
All entries become the property of Cayman National Corporation
Ltd. All entrants agree that Cayman National may use, reproduce,
publish, and distribute any of the photos submitted in this
competition in its 2010 annual calendar, and for any other
promotional use at any time, without any payment or fee.
Cayman National does not accept any liability for any loss or
damage to entries.
